Bud Vinyl

My first vinyl toy. I got a glow in the dark Bud blank purely because it was on sale. I wanted a munny but they were out of stock. The glow in dark vinyl is a little different to the usual solid white vinyl most toys are made out of – it makes it slightly translucent which isn’t great news for sharpies. I was basically experimenting with some acrylic inks I have lying around. They worked well, but in the dark they let quite a bit of light through which wasn’t my intention. I also used some Edding paint markers which worked really well – especially for opacity.

The idea was a sunset scene progressing from the grass up to the city skyline and onto the night sky. The sky was meant to stay opaque apart from the moon, stars and clouds but it didn’t quite work. I think I will do much better on the next one and won’t be buying a glow in the dark toy.

tattoo coming soon ; )

it says apple, not nipple

These are some of the urban/street style graffiti “doodles” I did on my art case. I hope to incorporate similar themes on a portrait. Hopefully that idea should be developed very soon!

Another personal study. It needs some finishing touches, but who knows when I’ll get around to making them!
